Our unique search methodology was developed by incorporating best of breed practices from multiple functions including executive search, management consulting, OD consulting, research, communications and project management.

Understand Your Needs
To ensure that we thoroughly understand your needs, we:
  • Conduct detailed search of your business and industry to understand the competitive landscape.
  • Conduct comprehensive interviews with several members of your organization and Board to better understand 1) position requirements; 2) growth strategy and related challenges; 3) key issues and opportunities surrounding the positions; 4) team dynamics; and 5) company culture.
Develop a Source Plan/Source Candidates
To ensure our targeting is focused and highly effective, we:
  • Conduct original research on each assignment to develop a target list of companies (direct competitors or organizations in corollary industries) from which to source prospective candidates.
  • Develop a target list of referral resources, including thought leaders from various industries to identify top industry performers as prospective candidates.
  • After a target list has been developed and approved, we aggressively source the list using original name generation techniques to identify qualified candidates.
Present Your Opportunity
To ensure that the candidates are fully informed and excited about your opportunity, we:
  • Develop a narrative profile on your business called "About Client" that touches on key aspects of the organization, the position, and current issues/opportunities with candidates to assist them in preparing them for their interviews with us.
  • During each conversation with a prospective candidate, we present the uniqueness of both opportunities and challenges to ensure we identify fully informed and qualified candidates who are genuinely excited about tackling the challenges and making a significant impact in your organization.
Screen and Evaluate Candidates
To ensure that we thoroughly screen and qualify candidates, we employ the most comprehensive screening process in the industry that is comprised of:
Standard Executive Search Screen
  • Prescreen Interview - 15 to 30 minute telephone prescreen to assess qualification.
  • Telephone Interview - 1.5 hour telephone interview to assess qualifications, experience and fit, utilizing targeted selection interviewing methods.
  • Face to Face Interview - 1.5 to 2 hour interview to assess fit and qualifications; administer behavioral and situational questions.
  • Reference Interviews - detailed 30 to 45 minute interviews with a supervisor, peer and direct report.

Nomadic Consulting's Unique Approach to Executive Search Screen
  • Case Study - We develop a customized case study for each search we conduct. This 2-3 page narrative outlines the specific circumstances and challenges faced by the prospective candidates. The short list of candidates are asked to submit a written response to the case study.
  • 30/60/90 Day Action Plan - Based on the circumstances surrounding this position, candidates are asked to develop an action plan with defined objectives and appropriate key metrics with which to measure success.
Present Final Candidates
Our short list is typically comprised of the top 3 candidates we have selected during our search process. Prior to our meeting with the clients to discuss candidate qualifications, we submit a candidate presentation packet that includes:
  • Candidate Profile - A comprehensive 7-8 page written assessment of the candidate.
